Endogun has developed novel implantable solutions for minimally invasive
surgery markets that require safe and effective fastening of internal
tissue. Tissue anchors which are easy to insert and removable create a
facile effective solution with an excellent safety profile.
Main Markets / Applications
Target markets include Urogynecology, Urology, and General Surgery. In
Urogynecology, the technology will be useful in uterine and bladder
prolapse, and stress urinary incontinence. The urologic application
includes anastomosis of the bladder and urethra during prostatectomy,
and the general surgical application includes hernia repair.
Uniqueness / Advantage over Existing Products
Some existing repair techniques are effective but have significant risks
and side effects, and require general anesthesia and a long recovery
time. Other approaches have reduced efficacy and also have significant
potential risks and complications. Endogun’s solutions are intuitive,
minimally invasive, with a better safety and efficacy profile. Endogun
has developed its products in response to market need for a simpler,
more widely applicable technology which can potentially be brought to
the outpatient setting.
